Abha Nirula

Abha is a climate professional with over seven years of experience advancing practical, scalable climate solutions, particularly in India, across consultancy, philanthropy, and multilateral organizations. Her work has focused on program management and implementation across key sectors including cooling, agriculture, and industrial decarbonization.

Prior to joining Cascade, Abha worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), supporting efforts to mobilize capital for climate action in coordination with the Ministry of Finance. She also led sectoral programs at the Children Investment Foundation (CIFF), where she developed strategy and led partnerships for multi-stakeholder climate initiatives. Earlier in her career, Abha worked at a Sustainable advisory to lead market research and policy landscape for low-carbon technologies and decentralised energy solutions.

Abha holds a Master of Public Administration in Climate and Energy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), and has a background in Environment and Economics.
